Builders Fund endorses Chris Pappas for Senate
The Amaury Abreu Builders Fund endorses Chris Pappas for Senate in New Hampshire.
His record starts at home. Pappas co-owns the Puritan Backroom Restaurant in Manchester, a family business more than a century old with more than 230 employees. In the House he served on the Small Business Committee in the 116th, 117th, and 118th Congresses, and the work continued after he moved committees.
He co-led the Small Business Liberation Act (H.R.3986, 119th Congress) with Representative Kelly Morrison, which would exempt the more than 34 million U.S. small businesses from the tariffs imposed in April 2025; the bill carries the endorsement of Small Business Majority and the Main Street Alliance. He is an original cosponsor of the follow-on Small Business RELIEF Act (H.R.6215), which adds refunds of duties already paid. He introduced the COLLABORATE Act with Representative Maria Salazar, a Republican from Florida, to coordinate the two main help desks, Small Business Development Centers and APEX Accelerators, so small firms can find and win federal contracts. In September 2026 he co-led the bipartisan Stronger Start for Working Families Act, which the Tax Policy Center estimates would cut taxes for about 3.5 million working families in 2026.
Chris Pappas is a Democrat whose small business bills keep drawing Republican partners. This is a builder's record, and this is the kind of record the Builders Fund exists to recognize.
